Fighter jet back from routine training flight has botched landing; IAF says failure was technical

An Israeli F-16 fighter jet had a near-accident Tuesday while attempting landing at the Ramat David Airbase.
According to available details, the jet – back from a routine training flight - was traveling on the runway when for some reason it veered to the sidelines and off the runway .

No injuries or damage were reported. The IAF has launched an inquiry into the incident, which military sources said was the likely result of a technical malfunction and not pilot error.
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit confirmed the details, adding that the jet is currently undergoing a maintenance review by the IAF.
